Our sales and marketing team is seeking a full time, permanent Client Development Executive. The Client Development team is pivotal in ensuring that we maintain successful client relationships across the firm and grow them even further. This role is based out of our either our Bristol or London office working on a hybrid basis.
The Client Development Executive role is an opportunity to work alongside client teams supporting some of Osborne Clarke's key client relationships. For the successful candidate, this is an opening to gain hands-on experience of key account management in professional services.
What you'll do
Reporting to the International Head of Client Development, you will work alongside and support colleagues in the Client Development team. This role will involve proactively supporting the firm's client development programme and wider relationships with clients. The role involves operating in a matrix environment, applying a range of skills and being adaptable. Key responsibilities of the role include:
- Working closely with the BD and sector client teams, supporting the delivery of client development initiatives.
- Producing management reporting information on a monthly basis.
- Assisting with account planning.
- Taking responsibility for keeping internal client information systems up to date.
- Assisting with the delivery of the Account Manager development programme.
- Ensuring that key documents and content are kept up to date and are accurate.
- Providing support and assistance with internal and external events.
- Coordinating internal briefings, preparation of agendas for UK and international client development team meetings.
What we're looking for
We are seeking someone with previous experience in a similar Client Relationship, Marketing or Business Development Executive or Assistant position, along with the following skills and attributes:
- Self-motivated with a desire to play a key role supporting and improving the firm's relationships with clients, looking for a mixture of sales and marketing challenges.
- Excellent organisation skills with a good eye for detail.
- The ability to manage time and multiple tasks and projects, agree priorities and identify the appropriate level of importance/urgency for projects.
- A team player and effective communicator, able to assimilate and act upon appropriate instructions.
- Confidence to brief partners and lawyers on client development/business development initiatives, capturing clear information for implementation.
- Able to self-assess projects and issues.
- Excellent, PowerPoint, Excel and Word skills.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and understand the needs of stakeholders.
